Can I split a filename containing Track & Artist?

Hi

I have some mp3s that all have titles in this format:

"Purple Rain - Prince"

The track is first, then a space, hyphen, space, then the artist. The Artist field is "Various Artists" because the CD is a compilation.

I would like the Title to say "Purple Rain" and the Artist to say "Prince". Can mp3tag do this?

Yes, this is possible using an :mt_act: action Guess values with

Source format: %title%
Guessing pattern: %title% - %artist%

Excellent! It worked, and I was also able to change the filename so that the Artist was before the Title.
