Hi guys. i'm a new member and i hope you can help me with some minor problem that's been driving me crazy for the last 2 hours.
I want to edit my m4a. file's release date so it will look nice on my iPod touch.. and i used the Extended tag -\> YEAR with the full format yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ssZ
But on my device, it appeared only the YEAR, i cant see month and date @\_@
Did i do something wrong or do i need to add something? 😃

I'd say: this seems to be an Apple problem. So, what do Apple forums say about the correct format?
Once you have found that out MP3tag will most certainly support you to update teh information.

In an old thread there was the following information:

These articles could be of assistance:

It sounds that your settings in iTunes for the iPod are set to manually Sync, or to only sync checked songs or playlist.

If metadata key `date` is in format `yyyy-mm-dd`, Apple Music shows “Release Date”.

```terminal
$ ffprobe test.m4a
Input #0, mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2, from 'test.m4a':
  Metadata:
    date: 2000-11-22 ⚠️ displays "release date" + "year"
    ...
$ ffprobe test2.m4a
Input #0, mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2, from 'test2.m4a':
  Metadata:
    date: 2000 ⚠️ displays "year" only
    ...
```

Please check the extended tags dialogue and see whether you also find a field called RELEASETIME.
