SO, what i am trying to figure out is this

i want to rename my files based on the edited tags and move them to their new folder which in my case is d:\music

example:

I have an album from bing crosby for christmas

i have fixed the album tags and got the cover, etc

what i want to happen is this

step 1

rename the files (i have this part)

$NUM(%track%,2) - %title% W (%CONTRIBUTING ARTIST%)

step 2

move the renamed files to a new absolute directory based on the tag(s)

the album is %ALBUM% THAT CHRISTMAS FEELING

the year is %YEAR% 1958

what i am wanting to do, is then move the renamed files/folders to

D:\music\%ARTIST%\%ALBUM% %YEAR%\

or

D:\music\BING CROSBY\THAT CHRISTMAS FEELING 1958\

i would prefer a separate task/job to move the files/folders

is this even possible?

thank you

To rename the current folder, create an action of the type "Format value" or use Convert\>Tag-Tag for \_DIRECTORY
Format string: `D:\music\%ARTIST%\%ALBUM% %YEAR%\`

I'm sorry i think i did not clearly define what i was wanting

i do not want to rename the current folder

i want to create a new folder on a different drive (D:/MUSIC)

then add a folder to that directory (%ARTIST%)

then add a sub folder to that folder (%ARTIST%/%ALBUM% %YEAR%)

then move the files to that folder

and do that for each album selected
