sorry, but both filename and tag are refreshing fine with your action set. Please check your tag writing and reading settings: maybe you're writing a tag type, but not reading it (e.g. writing ID3v2 but reading only ID3v1).

I checked the settings. I'm reading id3/id3v2/ape. I'm writing id3v2 only. The tags are being written fine. They display fine if I click on the file afterwards. We may mean different things when we say refresh. I just mean that the old data still displays until I single-click on the file again.

I'm sorry again - but it works fine here using your settings and your action set. The modified filenames and tags appear directly after applying the actions.

Would you mind to provide me some screenshots of

  • the selected files before applying the actions
  • the action dialog
  • and the selected files after applying the actions

I downloaded the latest development build to take screenshots. It fixed the problem :slight_smile:

EDIT: No it didn't! I see the problem now. When I've de-selected "show selection dialogue", the action occurs, but the input mask on the left isn't refreshed.

As of last night when I posted this, I was still having the problem (though I didn't reboot after upgrading Mp3tag, if that matters).

Today, I no longer do.

Sorry for all the frustration, I really thought it had something to do with the the "show selection dialogue" dialogue. :wacko:
