My Alpine 9835 offers limited display options. None of which include display of the artist, album and song name at the same time. I can however display the song and album. I used mp3tag convert to add the artist to the filename thinking that would solve the problem. As you might guess the player reads the "title" not the filename.

So my question: how do I add the artist to the title field or alternatively to the album field?

Please explain as if I were in 3rd grade ! Thanks.

Ok, I figured this out:

Create an action group
In "Select Action Type" select "Format Values"
In "Field" select "Album"
In "Format String" type "%Artist% - %Album%"
Click OK to exit

Seems to be working fine so far.

Thanks for this excellent program!
