Hello Florian,
I noticed when you click and hold on album cover in Tag Panel, move mouse a little, then release, Mp3tag will add a duplicate cover as a PNG image to existing file.

This is a very quick way of duplicating the cover 😃 Thanks for pointing, I'll address this in one of the next beta versions.

I've just released Mp3tag for Mac v1.8.15 which also prevents those accidental drops and resulting duplicates of own dragged images when dragging cover art.
