# Album Column Won't Sort

Have V2.95 and the Album column doesn't sort. The arrow changes to up/down but nothing shows different in the column.

Could you check the column definition whether numeric sorting is activated?  
If this is so: switch it off, so that it sorts alphabetical again.  
You find the column definition if you right-click on the column header and then on Columns ...

The numeric sorting wasn't checked but the sort field had %filetype% in it. I changed it %album% and seems to be working now.

if you sort by the field contents anyway, it is not necessary to use special sort criteria. You may leave the sort field empty.
