I am using Double Commander as my File Manager in mac, coming from Windows I was used to Total Commander.

Now in the Tool Bar I have created a shortcut for Mp3tag, but anything I have tried it will not open the folder or file I have selected.

I have seen the "-a". option with open but that doesn't seem to work either

%p is complete Filename _path+filename_
%? is showing the command before it's executed.

Thanks for any hints.

Ps: Right click and selecting open with and then selecting Mp3tag.app works

Can you try command `open` with parameters

`-a /Applications/Mp3tag.app/Contents/MacOS/Mp3tag "%p"`

I'm not using Double Commander myself, but I think this could work.

Nope. thx for that but nope it doesn't

I posted on the DC forum and asked if they know a solution, but my guess (and that is extremely guessing) that the "-a" should come AFTER the /App/mp3tag.app/contents/...."

But again that is merely guessing and I have already tried that, with all kinds of other parameters as well

Will report back on what the DC forum comes up with.

The developer of DC replied

`open` with parameters

```auto
-a /Applications/Mp3tag.app %p
```

And that works, that %p is for the selected file(s). Change to %D for current directory
