# Apple Dateiformate AAC und ALAC unter MacOS nutzbar?

Ich bin dabei von Windows (nutze hier MP3tag) auf MacOS zu wechseln. Auf der deutschen MP3tag-Webseite steht u.a.:

Unterstützte Audio-Formate:

- Advanced Audio Coding ([aac](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Audio_Coding))
- Apple Lossless Audio Codec ([alac](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Lossless))

Im deutschen Apple App Store ist zwar MP3tag vorhanden, aber unter unterstützte Formate sind "AAC" und "ALAC" nicht vorhanden.

Ich werde zwar weiterhin im Normalfall nur FLAC benutzen, aber trotzdem würde mich interessieren was nun richtig ist.

AAC und ALAC werden beide als Codec innerhalb von MP4/M4A-Containern unterstützt. RAW-AAC, also ohne Container wird von Mp3tag für Mac nicht unterstützt.
