# Apple Genius Limitation

Hello,
As outlined in this page

it seems that if there are any non alphanumeric characters contained in an ID3 tag, then genius cannot recognise the song.
Is there a simple way to remove any non alpha numeric character?
I did see a previous response, but I am no good with teh codez

I would wait for a proper update of Itunes.
What do you understand by "non alpha numeric characters"? Punctuation? Diacritics? Umlauts? 7-Bit-ASCII only?
No, there is no easy way. You would have to define which "illegal" character should be replaced by which other.
As these characters are within the standard and iTunes Genius apparently is not, I would say it is Apple's turn.
(btw: did it work with a previous version? then revert to that)
