# Autocomplete doesnt work

coming from win 7 pro and forced to upgrade to win10 pro, i loved the autocomplete feature. i use it in the "genre" field the most. for example a song would say "dance" and i could click once in the field, highlight the entire word and start typing "B" and "ballad" would come up and i could just hit Ctrl+S to save. same with "R" in "R&B", "Ro" for "Rock" etc..

but seems like this no longer works when i upgraded to win 10.... why is that and can you bring it back? cant see why moving forward somehow was a step backwards

ps. yes, autocomplete is ticked off in preferences

Works over here.  
So, what other settings have you defined for the genre field in the tag panel?  
Show only user-defined values?  
Prefer values from tags in list at Tag Panel?

this is the setting now (as per default) and i believe the same as in your pic
