I have a huge music collection and I'm always adding additional music. Tagging can be a nightmare requiring tedious renaming of my data. I use Media Monkey and have been unable to figure out a way to retag in the format I use. Does MP3TAG allow the changing of multiple file tags in a batch mode? For example, on CD's of music by various artists my naming conventions are to change the title tag to contain both the song title AND the artist name, Mad About You, Belinda Carlisle. I then go back and change the artist field tag to be VARIOUS. This process can sometimes take hours of work. Is there a way to do this process more efficiently in MP3TAG?

Please have a look at the documentation:

> **[First Steps – Mp3tag Documentation](https://docs.mp3tag.de/getting-started/first-steps/)**
>
> A collection of tasks with step-by-step instructions intended for novice users of Mp3tag. Mp3tag is the universal Tag Editor.

In respect to

> music by various artists

the overall convention is to enter the performing artist in the field ARTIST and

> [@Tshipshape1](#):
>
> VARIOUS

in the field ALBUMARTIST.
