# Bulk tag change - Track Number

Hi,
I have a compilation album with approximately 500 songs in it. The track numbers are all over the place and I would like to do a bulk change operation, if possible, so that I can renumber them in either this format: 001/500...002/500 etc., or in this format: 001....002...003, etc. Does MP3tag have the ability to do this or is my task completely manual in nature?

Please note that not all players, in this special case the WIndows media player and the Windows explorer, can cope with 3-digit-numbers with leading zeros:
