# Can MP3TAG destroy mp3 file?

Hi to everybody on the forum. Recently I've heard of Windows 7 bug regarding possibility of cutting off first few seconds of the mp3 file when editing metadata of mp3 files with larger headers (over 16 kb).

What concerns me is the fact that, according to article, same thing can occur when using tools to add large album art. I have huge collection of mp3s and very often I add cover art of 800X800 p. (rarely over 950X950) so I can play files in both winamp and itunes. I didn't notice any issues by now but, generally, is there anything I should be careful of when editing metadata with MP3TAG? Thanks in advance.
