# Comments for Export scripts

As you can see, this a very old idea:

So, 10 years later, can we have an ability to write in comments into the codes of Export scripts; please?

You can use $puts() to silently fill a variable with any kind of data - if you do not use the contents of that variable, it works like a comment. You can even proceed the text with the word "Comment: ".
Please note that the whole layout of the export script works as a template for the output. So, extra lines count.

Yes, I did utilize this for the time being, having seen this workaround of yours in those evoked threads
