# Compare files in different folders?

Hello,

I too often have to compare what song files are in two different folders. Is this possible? iTunes and or WMP re-groups my songs in a format I do not like. I like to ALSO keep a folder of only the song files and not by sub-folders such as group name or album. I think by song title and not by artist.

Go to File \> Change Directory and select a folder you want to use. Then go to File \> Add Directory and add another folder. Keep on adding until you get all of the folders.

An even faster way is to select the folders in Windows Explorer, then drag-and-drop into Mp3tag. A regular drag-and-drop is the same as Change Directory. If you hold down the Ctrl key when you drag-and-drop that's the same as Add Directory.
