# Conversions through Actions?

I'm wanting to create an action group that carries out all my tasks (actions) in one go. The first action I want is to use part of the filename to replace the title field i.e. I have a filename like:
12 Ida Maria - Oh my god.mp3
and I want the first action in the action group to place the 'Ida Maria - Oh my god' part of the filename into the title field and to then carry on and do some other miscellaneous actions like clear the comments field and write 'Various Artists' into the artist field etc.
Problem is I can't figure out how to do this first task using an action - it seems I have to manually do it through the Convert-\>Filename - Tag option and then go into the Actions and call the rest seperately in a an action group.
It seems to me that actions and conversions are treated seperately is this so? and if so why!?! ☹
