Does anybody know how to copy information from one category (e.g., `WORK`) to another (e.g., `MOVEMENTNAME` or `GROUPING`) more quickly (context down below)? Doing it manually is going to take an eternity, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

See the FAQs:

> How to copy one field value to another field? Example how to copy the content of the ARTIST field to the ALBUMARTIST field: Create a [new action](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/actions/967/2) in an existing action group or make a new action group. Action type: Format value Field: ALBUMARTIST Format string: %artist% Note: If you want to copy all possible values of a field (in case you have multiple artist fields), the internal scripting function [$meta\_sep](https://docs.mp3tag.de/scripting) can be used in the format string, e.g., $meta\_sep(artist,\\\\)

It's also in [First Steps → Copying one Field to another Field](https://docs.mp3tag.de/getting-started/first-steps/#copying-one-field-to-another-field) using **Convert → Tag - Tag**.

I tried it, but it simply erased the `WORK` field. What did I do wrong?

It probably has to be the other way round:
To copy WORK to CONTENTGROUP
Convert\>Tag-Tag for field CONTENTGROUP
Format string: %work%

I am not sure what your intentions are with $meta\_sep()

Yes, it's the other way round: you first select the target field and reference the source field(s) in the format string.

I've updated the example in the documentation to make this a little clearer.
