Newbie question I know. ![:blush:](https://community.mp3tag.de/uploads/default/original/1X/c5a064300f7d900a70c2196f6eee95e32dde9b52.gif ":blush:") Is there an easier way to change the contents of an entire column (or section of a column) by using a fill or copy function? It would be much simplier and faster that using Copy (Ctrl+C) to copy the cell and then Pasting (Ctrl+V) into all the other cells individually. I am really beginning to like this program, and this site is great to help figure out the details. Thanks. FreekRPG ---

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, but I'd select all files, paste the information into the edit field from the tag panel on the left and press the ![:mt_save:](https://community.mp3tag.de/uploads/default/original/1X/9a524114a0a7cfb94ed95e08e42778afb83a895f.png ":mt\_save:") save button. This is exactly my problem. I want to change the name in entire columns. When I try this solution when I click on 'all files' it just greys-out all entries and I cannot make any changes. So I am changing every line with individual cut-and-pasting. This software is superb. ---

Hi Florian, Thank you for such a rapid response. I've now worked out how to do it from your previous reply to the question, I didn't realise I could still alter the names whilst grey-out. (PICNIC - Problem In Chair Not In Computer) Andy ---
