That's an rather old version.
With the current version, you can add cover art like in itunes and from amazon or other web sites.
Hi guys,
I just want to say that I 'd like to see this feature implemented in mp3tag too. It would be much simpler and convenient for sure
Lookin' good!!
Thanks!!
Thanks, Florian! This is fantastic! ![]()

I hate to be that guy, but I don't like it.
I tried 2.37d for about five minutes, then went back to 2.37b. I just have absolutely no use for it and actually find it distracting while I'm trying to do work. So, of course, I'd like to request that either this be made an option, or that it be enabled only through the Tag Panel field add/removal process.
Here's why I find it annoying:
I have 8 Tag Panel fields defined, so in a typically sized Mp3tag window, I only see the top portion of the artwork.
This causes scroll bars, both vertical and horizontal, in the Tag Panel, where I had none before. I can get rid of the horizontal one by widening the tag panel window, but at the expense of real estate in the main window.
I don't generally use embedded artwork, but I keep a "cover.jpg" in every folder. If I happen to be editing a file with embedded artwork, I can't even tell the difference, since Mp3tag picks up the folder image.
Please: Make it optional.
Just go to Options > Tag Panel and disable the cover art option.
Kind regards,
Florian
P.S. 5 minutes of trying are sometimes not enough.
Thanks Florian. Yep, I missed that one...
Nitpicking here: could you make the cover as wide as the tag panel or center it horizontally?
thanks for this
If it's possible, I'd like to be able to eventually import album covers from the clipboard, as well as from a file.
Yes, I support this proposal.
It is often the more intuitive way to fetch a picture from a webpage.

I also give one vote for clipboard idea.
You can already drag an image from your web browser to the cover art window.
Kind regards,
Florian
Dragging an explorer file entry works, but not out of the IE browser window.
By the way, to code and implement a PutClipboardImage routine should not be too heavy for you.
I say this in retrospect of all the wild things you've implepented into Mp3tag over the years.
Do it and we will love you. ![]()

Not that I want to speak for anyone, but I'm sure he meant this to say love you even more
Since this feature seems really essential according to the huge interest this suggestion has triggered, I wanted to ask you for some use cases where you would use the copy from clipboard method?
It works fine here (using for example this image).
Thanks for your feedback!
Kind regards,
Florian
