# cover in wavpack speichern

Ich wollte das Album Cover in einem Wavepack File speichern. Die entsprechenden Menupunkte sind aber ausgegraut. Ist dies nur in mp3tag nicht unterstützt oder ist dies ein generelles Problem bei WavePack Files?

Ist ein generelles Problem bei APEv2 Tags, die WavPack benutzt. Cover lassen sich nur ID3v2 Tags und in Vorbis Comments speichern.

Ich habe rasch AudioShell 1.3.5 installiert.

Mit diesem Programm ist es möglich Cover-Bilder in einem WavPack-File zu integrieren. Also scheint das nicht ein generelles Problem bei WavPack zu sein. (Ich vermute, dass es in einem ID3v1-Tag gespeichert worden ist)  
Ich gehe also davon aus, dass Mp3tag dieses Feature für WavPack nicht unterstützt. ☹

Man kann das Cover auch im APEv2 Tag speichern wie hier bei WavPack.  
Dafür gibt es aber keine offizielle Vorgabe, deshalb geht es nicht in Mp3tag.  
Andere Programme haben eben eine eigene Methode genommen.

Cover Art für WavPack (und andere Audio-Formate mit APEv2-Tags) wird nun im aktuellen [Development Build](http://developer.mp3tag.de) unterstützt.

Ohne dass ich mir das angeguckt habe - wie wurde das Speichern von Covers implementiert? Können APEv2 Tags Binärdaten speichern, oder enkodierst du die Cover mit Base64 vor dem Speichern?

APEv2-Tags können Binärdaten speichern (wird über ein Flag gekennzeichnet). Für die Namen der Tag-Felder habe ich mich an den gängigen Quasi-Standard gehalten ("Cover Art (Front)" und "Cover Art (Back)").
