# Creating track numbers

I am working with audio books which have a very large amount of files per book. Can MP3TAG create track numbers for all these files without me having to do each one manually?

Use "Convert \> Auto-numbering wizard"

Do you think the Auto-numbering wizard could be made a bit smarter, so if there are more than 99 files it adds an extra leading zero?

I understand it can easily be done in the Actions scripts, but that would eliminate an extra step.

The old version of MP3tag (a great program by the way) allowed you to select the number of leading zeros. I have just recreated this using the Actions scripts, but I'm not sure that everyone would find that very easy and it seems a shame to have lost such a simple feature that is really valuable to those who listen to audiobooks
