# Decoder speed

Did anyone of you ever had problems with playing MP3's and the speed was slightly too high (e.g. 3% only, but you could hear it)? This leads straight to the questions: What is the time-base for MP3 encoding & decoding? (How does the PC know what's "one second" or "128kbit/second"?)

Ist es Euch schon passiert, dass ein MP3-Titel zu schnell abspielt? (War zwar nur ca. 3% aber hörbar). Das führt direkt zu der Frage: Was ist der Zeitbezug wenn MP3 codiert, decodiert wird? (Woher weiß der Rechner, was 1 Sekunde oder 128kbit/s ist?).

Bist du sicher, dass es nicht an der Sampling-Rate (32 KHz erkannt als 44.1 KHz) lag?

Ich denke nein. 32/44,1 wäre einfach zu heftig. Ich habe auch den Eindruck, die "Drehzahl-Abweichung" ist nicht konstant, sondern nimmt (ganz langsam) zu.
