# Default sort

Is there a way to set the default sorting method for all folders? I would like to sort first by codec and second by path. Thanks!

Just click on the column headers in this order.

Yes, but when I restart the program the settings are lost. I have to do everything all over again.

Can you please try the following:
1. Sort by path by clicking on the column header
2. Sort by codec by clicking on the column header while holding the [Shift] key down.
This should remember the applied sorting criteria.
