# Desktop configuration copy to portable

I am able to back up my configuration files but would like to copy them to a portable version installed on an external harddrive can someone please explain how or if this can be accomplished?

So it is that simple? Saving the configuration to a zip file than opening it in the settings folder for the portable install...was expecting more to it than that for some reason...
Here is another question...
Will a portable install work if installed on Google Drive or Dropbox?
