# Disappearing Tags in XP

Hi,

I am trying out v2.40 to edit tags and have noticed that whenever I save a tag, some or all of the part disappear when viewed using Windows Explorer in XP. MP3tag and other editors say the information is still there, but it is not being displayed in XP.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Windows Explorer does not support ID3v2.4 tags in UTF-8 format. Please change writing of ID3v2 tags to ID3v2.3 with UTF-16 at Options \> Tags \> Mpeg and re-save the tags.
