I see it under track. Do I need to get them like that before I add them to iTunes? I didn't save anything. I only followed what you told me to do.

The action saves the changes straight away in the files.
So now it is up to iTunes to register the changes.

AFAIK does iTunes not recognize that information has changed. So you either apply a script to the iTunes library or you delete the entries for the modified files from iTunes an rebuild the library. Then the new track numbers should show in iTunes.
