as you don't say under which circumstances MP3tag could possibly not behave the way you want it, just a general poke at file associations:
So, check, which files get opened by "edge" and see with which file they are associated on your PC.
MP3tag does not modify the file association. You have to do that locally on your PC. MP3tag just calls the program that is associated with a particular file extension.
