# Drag & drop text files for Convert \> Text file - Tag

Would it be feasible to make it so that text files used for **Convert \> Text file - Tag** could be dragged and dropped onto the dialog to populate the **Filename** field? I imagine most users who use the **Convert \> Text file - Tag** function at all probably only need it a few times at most per file or album (I myself have never used it more than 3 times for any album), but every time I want to use it for a new album, I have to navigate the file dialog from the location of the file(s) for last album I’d import for to the new one. I always have my file manager (Directory Opus, in my case) window already open on the location of the files I’m currently working with anyway, and it would be so much easier if I could just drag and drop a text file from the file manager window to the **Convert \> Text file - Tag** dialog.

As a workaround until the feature is implemented: can't you copy the path from the file manager and paste it in the file selection box?

Yes, actually, I meant to put in my original post that that’s what I do. But, I’d much rather be able to drag and drop.
