# Easy way to show placeholder values?

Hello,
I was wondering if there is an easy way to see what the different placeholder values would be for a particular file?
Particulary interested in seeing the values for the following:
%\_path%
%\_filename\_ext%
%\_filename%
%\_filename\_rel%
%\_directory%
%\_folderpath%
%\_folderpath\_rel%
I was thinking of something along the lines of creating a tool that calls a bat file that shows these values.

1. You may add some colums to the grid view.
Edit your **columns.ini** manually or use the menu **View/Columns dialog**.

You will see, that columns **%\_folderpath\_rel%** and **%\_filename\_rel%** are empty in grid view.
These variables seem to be filled on export only.
