# Embedding album art for iPods problem

I have a 5.5G iPod 80GB and I've tried to add album art (embed) into the mp3 tracks.  
I've successfully embedded the art into the tracks, but when I upload them to my iPod the art doesn't show.

I've also tried some test files with the art named 'folder.jpg' to see if that cures it, but it doesn't.

Does anyone have any idea?

Oh, and I'm using Mp3tag 2.38.

How do you put the files on the iPod?

What ID3v2 tag version are you using? (View \> Extended tags)

Sharepod 3.0.0.2 to upload the songs.

ID3 v1 and v2.3 are the tags I use.

Can you also check Options \> Tags \> Mpeg if ID3v2.3 utf-16 or ISO-8859-1 is used?  
See if switching between those two and saving the tags again with ![:mt_save:](https://community.mp3tag.de/uploads/default/original/1X/9a524114a0a7cfb94ed95e08e42778afb83a895f.png ":mt\_save:") helps.  
If not, then this Sharepod program probably has issues or no support for embedded covers.

Nah, didn't work.

Must be a Sharepod issue.  
Back to the dreaded iTunes I go.
