welches Encoding (z. B. Windows-1252) wird bei der Datei mp3tag.cfg verwendet?

Es ist eine Binärdatei die nur durch das Programm selbst gelesen und verändert wird und werden soll.

Ich möchte die Datei lediglich lesen und mit UTF-8 in eine andere Datei schreiben. Dafür benötige ich aber das Encoding für meinen InputStream.Was muss ich hier verwenden?

Es ist eine Binärdatei, sie sollte als Binärdaten gelesen werden. Jedes Encoding ist falsch da es eben keine Textdatei ist. Das Encoding spezifiziert ja lediglich wie ein Binärstream als Text interpretiert werden soll.
