is there a quick and dirty way to input information, for example the album title, into the proper field of all the items in a directory at one time? ---

Select the files that should get the same information. Then use the tag panel or the extended tags dialogue (Alt-T) to enter the common information the selected files. Save the modification (Ctrl-S in the tag panel, OK in extended tags dialogue) ---

Ctrl-Q is what works for me. i should have stated that i am using Windows 10. thank you! ---
