# Explorer context menu opens up old version of Mp3tag

What most likely happened is that you've installed the v3.17 version to a different folder than an existing v3.15 version.

I suggest uninstalling the version listed at the control panel ([backup your settings](https://docs.mp3tag.de/getting-started/installation/#backup-and-restore-configuration) and let the uninstaller keep them) and then remove what's left at either `C:\Program Files` and/or `C:\Program Files (x86)` manually.

After that, reinstall the latest version and all should be good.
