I can export my filenames and tags (separated by carets) to a text file using the string

> $filename(txt,utf-8)$loop(%\_path%)%\_filename\_ext% ^ %album% ^ %artist% ^ %track% ^ %title% ^ %comment%
> $loopend()

but when I try to import those filenames and tags (into a new rip of the same CD), it doesn't work. I can export/import the filename separately, and then the tags, but not together at the same time. Is there a way I can do it all at once?

The filename serves as identifier to align the data records and the files.
So the filename cannot be set with an import.

Thanks. I'll write a batch file doing it in two steps, then.

You can use an action to set the filename - so if you import the filename into a user-defined field and then use the contents of that field to rename the file, it should work.
It should be possible to run both action (for import and for renaming) in the same action group.
