Hi, I've rebuilt my PC and reinstalled MP3tag and the 'export all tag fields' tool. Situation before was rebuild was I could select all my target files in MP3tag, right click, 'tools', 'mp3tagcompletetags'. It would then bring up the edit dialogue to allow me to choose\edit one of the output formats and output filename. I could then use excel to identify whatever it was I needed to do with my tags.
What is happening now is after I select the files and the mp3tagcompletetags tool something flashes up but is so quick I cant read it. Up then pops the expected 'please confirm when action has finished' dialogue. There is some output in the working folder called '00 ImportString.txt' which contains just one row of some tag headers.
I've scoured this page, reinstalled both mp3tag and completetags but cannot for the life of me work out what could be wrong.
Ideas and help please as I love using the tools to curate my library.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply, yes I have. Just one comment though, running steps 1 and 2 automatically adds Mp3tagCompleteTags as a tool. I can confirm step 4, 5 and 6 are exactly as described.
The other change I have made which I saw somewhere was to associate 'mte' files with notepad.
What if you press CTRL + E instead of Tools -> Mp3tagCompleteTags?
Do you see the various export configuration templates?
Can you proceed this way?
That brings up the export dialogue, thank you for the tip........However, and having an IT background myself, any ideas on what may be causing the export dialogue to apparently flash up and not be useable?
Maybe some access right problem?
Or maybe Mp3tag is started as user, the tool is running with an another user? Maybe starting as Admin helps? What about access rights for the folder where the tool will be started? Or the folder where the temporary files should be saved?
Maybe @dano - the author of this tool - can shed some light on this issue?
Exactly what I was thinking, only one user on the computer (apart from admin), all my apps etc are running as the user......I'll do some digging and report back.
