# Export to html

Hi,
Mp3tag is a wonderful program!
And now I suddenly realised it may be possible to use the "export to html" to construct my trading lists of jazz concert recordings. Instead of the time
consuming Excel lists...
The milka scheme "html\_jkeats&milka\_albumlist\_js\_ex" should be perfect if I
could add/delete a few things.
In ALBUM I tag the info of the Venue and Date, works fine.
I would like to add back the possibility of clicking on the ALBUM and
displaying the titles.
In COMMENT I tag the info of band members and other misc descriptions about the recording. I need to present this in my list as well, on ALBUM level.
YEAR is fine but not neccessary as I have it in the Album.
GENRE is not neccessary.
All other info is useful, number of files and size.
These are my first thoughts, I would be grateful for any help or if anyone could lead me in the direction...so I could do it myself....(maybe).

This export is same as "[milkaArtist-Album 01 html Artist List Full](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/2422/5)" adjusted for Hank:
- Changed column genre to comment
- Added new column (source)
- Removed cover preview, play all and review link for albums
- Filename is changed in title for tracks
- Total album lenght is always in minutes
- Removed link for album tracks.
- No comment in album level.

Fascinating. Looks great! This will be really helpful!
Your presentation looked really good, I tried with some of my
files, here some comments.
- For one Artist I got the Filenames instead of TITLE when I
expanded the Album.
- For another Artist I got the Album name repeated instead of
the Titles, and the Comment was given for each Album name.
Maybe I need to send a file so you can look?
- It would be great if the Comment could be shown already
on the Album level, without expanding it..? This way you could see
the members of the Miles Davis group without checking the tunes.
- I realise is was stupid of me to take out the Year, it is better to
have Year on Album level and maybe the sorting could be done
by Year?
- If I have a recording that was originally on two discs I have
later tagged it as one recording but it still shows as two discs. Maybe
I should move the files to one folder instead?
- Search. That was GREAT.
- I have a lot of Composer tags, maybe there is spce for that after the
title, in brackets?
- It was GREAT with the way you repeated the Artist in front of
every title in your presentation, as I have several pages of albums for
each Artist.
- Usually with live recordings the Source is important and is it possible to
construct a new tag called Source..? Where i could display like FM, SBD or
AUD (radio broadcast, soundboard, audience recording)..?

Yes, it's possible. Please, write all tags that you won't to add and where.
Example: %comment% in album title.

I have problem with that  , I dont know if I can make it (need some time).

Hey!
Look at a sample of my recordings, with your latest file,

This works very well, maybe the lines are not a problem,
it was just to make it easier to read, maybe black font
or indent the titles a few millimeters so they are not
right aligned...?
It's late for me, I'll have a look tomorrow again closely.
I think everything I want is in there now, maybe it's just a matter
of making it easier to read when a lot of the Albums are
expanded. What do you think?

File is too big I will try to reduce the size.

Some albums (with same folder name as some other folder) were wrong expanded. I just fix it.
If that is all of your comments, than this is last .mte release.
Please post again if you have some new idea for export.

Also the Source is not showing.

it looks like the Titles are clickable? maybe that is
to be taken out? The list will be on my webpage without connection
to my music files.
Also the bottom on the page is very tight, maybe some space below the last
line, maybe it depends on what browser and size I use...

Fixed, but size is now increased. So I put loading message when page is loading (check out if you don't like it I can remove it).

First option is to:
Change album name in id3tag for all tracks in Disk1 folder from
"Piazza Napoleone, Lucca, Italy - 2002-07-08" to
"Piazza Napoleone, Lucca, Italy - 2002-07-08 Disk 1".
Same for Disk 2 folder.
Second option is to:
put all tracks in one folder.
Why you have double folders in some albums?
Example:
"G:/AAA Music/1 KEITH JARRETT/Keith Jarrett Trio - 2002 - Lucca/Disc1/Disc1"
"G:/AAA Music/1 KEITH JARRETT/Keith Jarrett Trio - 2002 - Lucca/Disc2/Disc2"
Instead:
"G:/AAA Music/1 KEITH JARRETT/Keith Jarrett Trio - 2002 - Lucca/Disc1"

milka, it's fascinating to follow the progress, almost all
albums expand very nicely now, check my web page for a new
test with a list of concerts.
I think the problem with the first artist is that the Album does not expand
properly, the Title does not show properly, have a look. It shows as 15 albums
but it's just one, with 15 titles.
Also at least one of the Pharoah Sanders album (Hothouse Chicago) does
not work.
The old way for showing Comments I liked better, maybe I can minimize
the text in some of the Tags to make it work.
But actually the text in artist No1 is not much longer than the other
fields - maybe the problem is with the not-properly-expanding- Album..?
If I am not exhausting you...the Expand All button is great and it would
be very good also with a possibility to expand one more level, to get
the ensemble members/titles for all - or only for one artist at the time....
