# Exporting subdirectories and paths in any format!

Hello  
The only i wish to know in on how can i export sorted :  
Filename -Path- Title - Artist -Album name  
it does not matter if the path is in the 2nd column or 4th ut is imporatnt to be inlcuded in the resulted table . There is a big chaos otherwise  
The subdcirectories are not included !!! How can thy be added ?

Usually, the \_DRIECTORY is part of \_PATH. But, naturally, you can include \_DRECTORY.  
Which result do you expect that is no

for the moment I only did the basic by exporting in the standard witout adding any code anywhere  
As ou can see there is no directory

Right-click on a column header.  
Select Columns ...  
In the following dialogue

either check if there is already an entry for \_PATH and activate that one in the left list or  
create a new column with the "New" button.  
Fill in the fields as shown in the screendump:  
Name: Path  
Value: %\_path%  
(Field: stays empty)  
If you only want to see the \_DRIECTORY and not the full \_PATH, use %\_directory% instead of %\_path%

See whether you like the position of the new field and if not, move it with the buttons for up or down to the preferred position.

Click OK to save the changes.  
You may now sort by this column

Then please show me the export script with which you want to export the path.  
(And please upload pictures to the post instead of to an external hoster)

as you can see the program inisiss even if the config has been updated!!!! (in the export directory )  
version 3.17

I can see `%_path%%` where it should be `%_path%`.

I don't quite understand what

What did you expect the output should look like?  
I expected an extra column with the contents of \_PATH, being sorted by \_PATH

as youc an see the problem insists . this is my more recent screenshot with a program restart after any chnge has been made in the export .mse file

Please use the forum upload function for you screenshots. There is absolutely no need to use an external hoster.

Also, if the script does not work as expected, I would like to see the whole script as that is responsible for the output.  
And the script should be issued as text and not as a picture as that would make testing much easier.

If that is the updated mte-file then I do not see any updates whatsoever.  
I still see %\_filename\_ext% as loop variable and I do not see any of the suggested lines that need to be added for more output.  
Please adapt the script and try again.
