# \[F\] Filter 'hides' fields when Random column selected

Not a serious bug, since I just need to unfilter then filter again, but it's annoying.
I'm still at 2.78 if that's important.

I can confirm the following behaviour:
Load any list of files
Apply a filter (even one like "%\_filename\_ext% HAS mp3" that may show all the loaded files).
Click on the left-most column (the one with the file icons)
The number of files in the file list is reduced to sometimes few files, but ate least after repeated clicks on that column clears the data in the list alltogether.
The scrollbar still indicates the number of un-randomized files.
You can still scroll through the file list although no data is displayed any more.
The statusbar now reports 0/x files displayed.
The only remedy is to toggle the filter.
The files now appear in a random order.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I can reproduce this (also by means of a unit test 😉) and will fix it to the next release.

The reported issue is now fixed with the current [Development Build (Mp3tag v2.80a)](http://developer.mp3tag.de).
