"Do you really want to paste the content of the clipboard
as the new tag of the selected file?" singular can occur on multiple files and thereby mislead! 😉

Yeah me too. For a long time I assumed mp3tag couldn't cut and paste multiple tags because of this message. Now I gladly know that it can!

Confirmed in V2.41b... but now the singlular case wrongly says plural.
