# Failed to authenticate using OAuth (1) \>12029 non connection to the server

Goodmoring  
Failed to authenticate using OAuth (1)

> 12029 non connection to the server

when i try to get any tag from Discogs i have this message.  
everything worked fine with the x86 version; since I installed the x64 version the problem appears.  
I tried to revert back to the x86 version but it doesn't fix the problem.

If you use the search function in the forum for an OAuth(1) error then you will find a number of threads.  
Which of the suggested steps have you tried so far?

One of the steps would be to check whether MP3tag has internet access at all.  
Try Help\>Check for new version - you should see a message. If you do not see a message you have to check your network to grant MP3tag internet access.
