See e.g. this thread on running several instance of MP3tag which would serve the same purpose in a way: you can start different processes on files:

> yeah yeah I read that @Florian said no since like back when fire was discovered. point being is, I could really use that. while mp3tag is working on writing tags to 123'400 files, I could easily be productive and work on a whole other set of files. how do you guys do it then? use a VM? docker? wait and grow old?

I would also like to draw your attention to numerous threads that deal with the problem of files that cannot be written due to simultaneous access of other programs, e.g. here:

> [@MP3 reports cannot open file for writing](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/mp3-reports-cannot-open-file-for-writing/45266):

> About two months ago, MP3tag began to refuse the changes I requested for my MP3 files. It instead gave me a message "File D:(whatever)...songtitle... cannot be opened for writing. I am using Mp3tag v2.94. Any ideas on a fix? Thanks, RJSully

I fear that several MP3tag processes running would lead to even more of these events.
