I use Mp3tag (on Mac) primarily to process Old Time Radio tracks.
Old Time Radio is identified as OTR. With Mp3tag, typing OTR in the
Genre brings up Other, then OtR, then I backspace to hopefully capitalize
the lowercase t, to get OTR. As it is always CAPITAL letters O-T-R, I don't
believe it would interfere with the existing Genre "Other".

Would it be possible to include an OTR genre?
Thank you

The genre list reflects the ID3 standard genres, see e.g. here: [ID3 - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ID3)
I doubt that MP3tag has the power to modify that standard.
You can already now add user-defined genres to the list.

You can add this custom genre via **Preferences → General → Genres → Manage...**

> [@Preferences and Configuration](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/preferences-and-configuration/56296#genres-3):
>
> You can configure many areas of Mp3tag via the preferences window at Mp3tag → Preferences… or ⌘ , General Startup Folder Here you can specify the startup behavior of Mp3tag. None starts with an empty File List. Previous starts with the folder which was loaded the last time you’ve used Mp3tag. Other… lets you choose a explicit folder that is loaded on startup. Genres Use standard genres If enabled, Mp3tag lists the standard genres in the genre field on the Tag Pane…
