Good morning all,

Hope all is well?

I use stevehero's excellent Beatport scraper to tag my tracks. Is there a way that I can add this to my custom Action? At the moment, I am right clicking each track, Tag Sources \> Beatport by stevehero v6 \> TRACK Search by Artist + Title. Once I have tagged all the tracks, I then run the custom Action to rename the \_FILENAME, but was wondering if the two actions can be incorporated at all?

My presumption is that if I am able to add a command to use the Beatport scraper at the tope of my custom action, it would remove the requirement to right click each track?

Cheers

Trev

No.
You can't call a WebSourceScript from an Action.

If you ask this for your Mac Version of Mp3tag, you should use the Mac Support part in this forum:

Thank you for your reply. That's a shame. And I use both the MAC and Windows versions of this software. Today, I am on the PC.

Cheers

Edit: Potential feature request, maybe?

Just to think about:
Actions run fle by file.
A web source script ideally gets the data for all the files of an album.
If you have single file, then the action would have to stop after the call of the wss and aks you to select the correct release and then align the file with the correct title.

If you change your workflow to first get the data from the web source and then run the action, it would work.

The majoirty of my tracks (if not all) are single files, as is common with electronic music. The action stopping and asking for the correct release is actually what I was wanting.

The first step in my workflow is to get the data from the web.

The globe icon in the toolbar remembers the last called wss - so it would be a single click for the next file to trigger the wss-retrieval process again. You would not need to select the wss from then wss menu.

did not know that, that is very helpful, thank you!

Certainly saved me a few clicks! Adding to the Actions would save one more - and whilst that doesn't sound like a lot, I typically download between 500-600 tracks a mionth and any time saved is obviously welcomed!. Appreciate my usercase might not be the majoirty, mind you

Thanks again
