i seem to have missed something
when i want to use the file -\> tag function, the ok button is disabled.
sorry if this is something obvious, i am new to mp3tag and tagging in general.
thx for your help.

The format string should match the format of the filename.
For example, say you had 2 songs/files named
01 - Song one title.mp3
02 - Song two title.mp3
Therefore, the format string would be
%track% - %title%
NOT
%artist% - %album% - %track% - %title%
If you tried to use the second format string. Your OK button will be greyed out because it doesn't match the filename format.
