Hi,
Assuming I have a .txt list of songs (as in:
Artist1 - Tiltle1
Artist2 - Title2 etc),
is there a way to filter songs listed?
Thanks in advance!

How do you load your songs listed in your \*.txt file into Mp3tag?

In Mp3tag you can press F3 and [filter](https://docs.mp3tag.de/filter/) your loaded songs.

If this list can be transformed into a playlist (which is plain text and mainly a list of filenames) then you could open that playlist to add the referenced files

Such a playlist would have to include the complete path\* to the songs like

```auto
C:\Temp\Folder\Subfolder\Artist1 - Title1.mp3
C:\Temp\AnotherFolder\AnotherSubfolder\Artist2 - Title2.mp3
```

In Mp3tag you can use the menu **File** -\> **Load Playlist/Cuesheet** to load the above \*.m3u text file and this loads the (existing) songs into Mp3tag.

Hint:
\* the complete path is not necessary if all your files are saved in the same folder and the \*.m3u is also saved in the same folder as the songs.

Then you don't need the path, I would think - only the filename.
But if the files are all in the same folder - wouldn't it be easier to just drag&drop them from the Windows Explorer into MP3tag or open that folder straightaway?

Moved the playlist to the same folder and it worked, thanks!
My problem was that I used a website to generate the playlist and I wasn't folder-specific..
Again, thank you 🙂
