See pic, this is the first time I've seen non-standard fonts used in a title. How would one do that or go about removing them w/ MP3Tag? They also seem to extend to the filename in file manager!
Thanks -

I think in MP3Tag there is no really feasable way to change these characters to standard-ascii.
Someone with the abilities could write an external script to do so.

But there are online tools with which you can change the characters like this tool

> **[Normalize Unicode Text](https://onlinetools.com/unicode/normalize-unicode-text)**
>
> This utility converts Unicode text back to regular text. It's free, gets the job done quickly, and it's entirely browser-based. Try it out!

You could copy the title strings to this tool and replace the title in Mp3Tag with the conversion result per C&P.

After doing so you can rename the filename with the converter Tag-\>Filename and the format string:
%track% - %artist% - %title%
or any other format string that suits your naming conventions.

Apparently I was able to just type in the title field and when I overtyped them the text was regular ascii so I just retyped them all. Thanks.
