# Folder x Artist

Hi Florian,

I'm going crazy, but I don't think there is a way (or I can't find it). I would like the folder where I have the .mp3 files to be automatically transferred to Artist.

Do you know how I have to do it, or if it can be done? I have found a way to put the path, but I can't find a way to make it "just" the name of the folder.

You can check [Documentation → Import Parts of the Folder Structure to the Tag](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/rename-files-and-import-tags-from-files/51720#import-parts-of-the-folder-structure-to-the-tag). A valid formatstring for _Convert → Filename - Tag_ would be `%artist%/%dummy%`
