# Freedb server (freedb.dbpoweramp.com) not working anymore?

Yes, the server has been shut down sometime last week (?) and [gnudb.org](http://gnudb.org) is the alternative that will be exclusively used with the next version of Mp3tag.

You can already get the connection details for this server by clicking the _Servers_ button 🌎 at _Options → Tag Sources → freedb_ and then choosing the GnuDB server from the refreshed servers drop-down list.
