# help combining multiple tasks

Hi all

I went through the faqs but found nothing (or missed it)

every time I go through my uncleaned music, I need to perform multiple tasks and was wondering if it is possible to combine all these tasks to say one single action...

every folder I do, first I context menu mp3 tag and ...

1. highlight all the songs
2. auto-numbering wizard
3. tag - filename
4. disk number -\> blank
5. save
6. action 1 - cd cover purge and replace (my own, thanks to Poster)
7. action 2 - clear all but used fields, (my own, again thanks to Poster)

now, would it be possible to combine all that into one single button press ... (action maybe?)

1. highlight all the songs -\> see File\>Options\>General - Select automatically.
2. auto-numbering wizard -\> cannot be called as such but could be partially emulated with an action of the type "Format value" for TRACK with the format string $num(%\_counter%,2)
3. tag - filename -\> action of the type "Format value" for \_FILENAME
4. disk number -\> blank -\> action of the type "Remove field" with DISCNUMBER
5. save -\> ? there is nothing to save
6. action 1 - cd cover purge and replace (my own, thanks to Poster) -\> action of the type "Import cover from file"
7. action 2 - clear all but used fields, (my own, again thanks to Poster)

So, most of it is possible in one action group.
